How to make someone look younger using photoshop

Making someone look younger can actually be easy and fun. Photoshop CS5 already includes all the tools you need to do this. The first tool that I always start out with is the spot healing tool. The spot healing tool looks like a band aid with dotted lines in a circle around it. With the spot healing tool it is easy to just click on pimples, moles, or other imperfections and remove them.

Next you want to get rid of as many wrinkles as possible whether they be under the eyes, on the forehead, etc. To do this you want to use the patch tool. The Patch tool looks like a patch that you would put on a quilt. It is used by selecting the wrinkle like you would use the lasso tool. Once you've drawn your selection then you drag the mouse to another spot on the skin that is clear.

Next you want to smooth the skin texture. To do this first create a duplicate layer Ctrl + J. Then you want to set the new layer to overlay.
Next you want go to Filter, then move your mouse to the second to last option, then select High Pass. Once you have selected it set the percentage to 6.0. Next go to Layer, then Adjustments, Then invert.

Add a layer mask.

Using the a black paint brush on the layer mask layer paint over the anything that isn't the skin on the face.
Just to see if you've done everything right click on the eye next to the layers that you've added and see what the original looked like in comparison to your new picture.

Using Photoshop

I just felt like throwing a post about editing pictures. The main thing that you need to know how to do when editing pictures is how to use a layer mask. A layer mask can hide certain parts of a picture by paint over the parts that you want to hide or show. Painting with black hides parts of the picture and painting with whites shows previously hidden parts of the picture. This Picture was edited with mostly layer masks.

Framing in photography

Nice simple framing of a natural scene

Using natural framing using the rocks to frame the horizon

Using the arch to frame the building. The only thing I would want is for there to be more of the building showing.

Using the palm tree to frame the buildings

I like that there is seperate framing of the three scenes.

Hands and Feet

I like that the background isnt distracting

I like that the hands are basically sillouettes

I like that the feet are so small  in the hands

I like the difference in size between the hands

I like how the hands fade off as they go down
